About DACG

Danish Anti-Counterfeiting Group (DACG) is a Danish group with the purpose of fighting product piracy, a growing and serious type of crime. Product piracy is not only damaging to the producers of original products but constitutes a threat to the safety and security of the individual.

The Danish Anti-Counterfeiting Group (DACG) was founded in September 1998 and today has approximately 80 members. DACG is a non-profit group. The objective of the Group is to fight product piracy, a growing and serious type of crime. Product piracy is not only damaging to the producers of original products but constitutes a threat to the safety and security of the individual. Counterfeiting destroys for instance jobs in Europe and elsewhere and thrives on underground economy. It is illegal to sell counterfeit products, even if you are selling to friends and colleagues. Like theft and handling of stolen goods, production and sale of counterfeit goods are punishable by a fine or up to six years’ imprisonment. You do not tolerate theft or drugs, so why would you tolerate counterfeiting which like other organised crime takes place through unlawful channels and criminal actors in the market?

You can join us at our LinkedIn group, Danish Anti-Counterfeiting Group.
